Feature Requests

As a user of Rize, I want to track the amount of mobile usage, segregated by the applications, during my focus mode. This will allow me to handle distractions much better and improve my quality of work.

I’d like to request a feature where, at the end of every session tracked in Rize, a popup appears asking the user: ‘What did you do in this session? Be as precise as possible.’ This simple prompt would help users reflect on their activities, ensuring more accurate tracking and providing valuable insights into how time is spent. It’s a straightforward way to enhance the user experience and help individuals stay accountable to their goals. We all love using Rize and having something like this will enable their engineers to be even more precise. All of us users will benefit in the long run because of the training data they’ll have. Combined with Claude computer usage and other agents that can replicate work on a desktop, we’ll be unstoppable and know precisely where our time is being spent while the masses waste even more time. These next 3-5 years is super important for all of us going forward, let’s make the most of it.

Dear Rize Team, As a new Rize user, I've found immense value in the detailed category system that allows me to track specific activities like Learning, Documenting, and Coding. The granular insights have helped me better understand and optimize my time usage. Feature Request: Hierarchical Category System I would love to see the addition of customizable parent categories that would allow users to: Create broad, overarching categories (e.g., "Education," "Professional Development," "Entertainment") Group related specific categories under these parent categories View time metrics at both the specific and general category levels Use Case Examples: Education: Learning Documenting Research Online Courses Work: Meetings Project Management Coding Email Communication Happy holidays and best wishes for the new year!

Import Rize data into Notion

It would be nice if I could start tracking when I activate a Focus on my mac

I would love that Rize automatically enables a specific MacOS Focus so I can disable unimportant notifications while focus

For Mac users it would be really nice if we could use Shortcuts, some example use cases: Enable DND when entering Focus mode Play music when taking a break etc. And also the other way round, e.g: When I call my shortcut Start Focus session in Rize Note: you can run shortcuts using URL scheme: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/shortcuts/apd624386f42/ios https://share.cleanshot.com/Yl9oLu

Extending the use of Rize to mobile would be incredibly valuable as it would enable users to track time spent on mobile. This data can then be reviewed and any oozed to the help users make adjustments to the mobiles usage and create better healthier mobile habits.

My brain has a very hard time focusing even when I start a timed session with focus music. Would be great if the entire widget could change color for different sessions to stand out more and alert me that I'm supposed to be focusing. It would be even cooler if you could somehow add a border on the entire screen in a color to remind me no matter where I am looking. The pop ups are great but don't always catch me when I stray from a task or walk away from the computer.
