Heptabase and Craft Integration

The projects in Rize are quite disconnected and it would be useful to have an integration whereby:
- Notion projects can be brought into Rize
- Time would be tracked against the Notion project
- The Notion project could be updated with details from Rize.
If you provided an API for Rize, then it might be possible to achieve this using tools like Zapier (at least in some clunky fashion).

This would be awesome! I would use it to sync the time I take in projects as a freelance.

Thanks so much for this request. How do you see the Rize <> Notion integration working? What's your use case? That will be really helpful to know to understand how best to implement the integration.

Macgill Davis: Hi Macgill,
For example, As a student, I have my dashboard with all my courses with their assignments, schedules, and more. When I use Rize for focus, I mention the course name as a Project on Rize. So it can be nice if Rize could "auto import" to Notion how much time I focus on each course ( = Project).
Also, for my personal life, I track my weekly/monthly/yearly goals with Notion. So with Rize, I would like to see how much time I focused on each task referring to its goal.
And I'm sure that there are a lot of uses that can be used with this integration. also, for teams using Notion.

GuyRO: Okay awesome. That makes a ton of sense. Thanks for sharing this!

Macgill Davis: Would love to have this integration or an available API.
If this is created, I would create a template revolving Rize's Functionality. Using Notion as a Personal or Professional Workspace.
I can already visualize how it works:
- Dashboard Template
- 3-5 Database including Rize Session Database.
- Using Rize Timer Widget (if you'd create 1 that can be embedded in Notion) or Rize API, I'll map out Database properties to Rize's suggested category or be able to set Rize's suggested category using Multi-select or Single Select property of Notion.
- I will then use the other Databases with Rize's Project, Client, & (Meeting or Calendar)
- Use Relations Property to interconnect them all for Rize's Functionality to work.
Hmm... That's it for now. It's hard to visualize 'til the end without having it and playing around it a bit more.
But, I'm sure having Rize and Notion integrated with each other would really be a powerful productivity tool. Especially Rize and Notion's customization compliments and benefits each other. I don't see any other app or tool that can have the synergy other than Rize and Notion.

That’s a great idea!

Macgill Davis As a feasible first step, it might be simpler if Rize imported data from Notion spreadsheets and pages, and then collated other details. For instance, if I have a project database, I should be able to access my connected database from a Notion tab when I start focusing. On selecting the project I'm working on, it should pull in tags and descriptions.
It would be even better if I could link my task database, which rolls up to my projects, and Notion could retrieve those project names. Ultimately, with a straightforward integration, Rize could organize its data with a Notion view page. This page would display the tasks, the projects, and the amount of work done, accumulating over time.
I believe it would be easier to feed this data into Rize rather than performing multiple calculations back into Notion. I'm content with viewing that data in Rize, as it displays it quite well. If we had a teams account, we could link freelancers to it for their benefit, and it could function as a time tracker with productivity coaching. Thanks for being so engaged with the group. Awesome!

The more I think about it, it is a task data based link. It links all tasks from that data base that are not checked done. Then if you click one it auto populates the page with task name, project relation and tags roll up. This is then displayed in a task page on a day/week/mo. Its exactly how people show it in notion but it would have the added benefit of all the rize data. Nice if it was two way but that seams harder. But I do not know.
