But to answer - it's an extra distraction to see the Spotify app itself, and a possible diversion of attention you can't recover from.
There's a lot of interesting podcasts on your home screen - if you have that.

Recently switched from Spotify to Apple Music (even though I hate the UI) so I can integrate my playlists with the Shortcuts app. Very on brand for the audience here... Anyway, that said, would love to see Apple Music included too. But integrating music is not important to me -- I can just have the music app open.
